We have had an incredibly positive response to the scheduled trip to Burgos - Covarrubias - Lerma in March 2023. It sold out in 48 hours, so it is clear that the desire to travel is great.
The waiting list has now become so long that we choose to set up an extra departure on 27 March with exactly the same program and price.
You can look forward to
We will be staying in a palace - Palacio de los Blasones - only 200 meters from the cathedral.
There will be a joint welcome dinner in the evening on the day of arrival.
Day 2 we visit the medieval town of Covarrubias where Princess Kristina is buried.
We have lunch in Lerma, an old ducal seat with an incredibly well-preserved, gentlemanly style. Lerma had its heyday under Philip III's rule (1598-1621). The Duke of Lerma was the king's favourite, and he enriched the city architecturally, made it bigger and more beautiful.
Day 3 we will have a city walk in Burgos with a local guide, including entrance to the cathedral where el Cid is buried. There is also time on your own to explore the city. You may want to prioritize cultural experiences, while another wants to explore the shopping opportunities. Or how about both?
We are setting up an extra departure to Burgos - Covarrubias - Lerma with exactly the same program and price as on the trip on 20 March.
The price is €499 per person in a double room, and €599 for a single room.
Registration deadline 15 December.
